Part 2 of the 4chan GTAVI AMA with new details
Decided to make another post as the "leaker" allegedly had another AMA on 4chan (taken down again) where he clarified a few things that were misinterpreted and also decided to reveal more things about the game. I decided to clarify a few things about my last
post as well as some people seem confused about a few details that I mentioned.

here. Again, take it with a huge grain of salt because of it being a 4chan leak and no way to know if both the AMAs are done by the same person.
This time around the leaker comes with a bolder claim about the credibility that they have been working at R* since 2004 and is primarily a developer. The leaker claims that they know the staff in every area of the dev team. The leaker mentions multiple times to capture the thread and 99% of it will be confirmed "sooner than you think"(Of course, this does not prove shit but could be interesting in retrospect).
Now to jump into the details of the second AMA:
- Same engine as RDR2 and GTAV but definitely improved upon. Ray tracing is in use but limited to reflections and shadows. Leaker mentions not to expect ray-traced light until the PC release.
- They also mention that what they said about the map size of the game in the previous AMA was misunderstood. What they meant was that the fastest transportation in RDR2 takes roughly 15-20 minutes to travel the longest possible route whereas GTA VI is around 13-15 minutes. They mention that the map is bigger than RDR2's in landmass. (The inconsistency of their details of the map from the previous thread is a big red flag imo)
- Complete freedom regarding exploration, you aren't forced to play through the main story and can go exploring anytime you want.
- They also mention that one of the confirmed songs is "Always on my Mind" by the Pet Shop Boys. (Mentioned in the previous AMA as well but they mention the song name this time.)
- Large number of building enterable and they all have textures unique to them but not every building is enterable as it is just too hard to implement.
- Better physics than GTAV as RDR2 was taken as the base for it and then built upon for the modern world. Driving feels less arcadey than GTAV but not as weighted as GTA IV's.
- The gap between consoles and PC release estimated to be 12 months by the leaker.
- The leaker again refuses to leak the MC's name but does mention that he has a mother and a sister. The MC calls the sister Frankie and also the father is dead. (Maybe you play as the father in the 1970s part of the game as I mentioned in the last post who dies when the MC is a kid and then maybe you play as the MC in the modern-day counterpart).
- The game has "deceptive" amount of content already according to the leaker.
- There's a famous 80s singer hosting one of the radio stations.
- Monetization at the launch of Online will be a lot lighter than GTA Vs due to the company being concerned about bad press.
- More hair and facial types that can be mixed and matched and also supposed to be period-specific for the online counterpart. Also, there will be a choice of body type but nothing specific like Fat, average, fit, muscular, etc,
- There will be a morality meter for the first time similar but not identical to RDR2's system. This will affect certain missions and outcomes.
- 2 limited maps within the game. Liberty City (pretty much on rails) and a "Cuban" island.
- Supposed to be a satirical representation of America in the 1980s.
- There's one side mission that's pretty much just one giant easter egg for the Goonies. It is not given to the player by an NPC but started by finding a map (Like one eyed willies).
- There is one interesting detail, the leaker first states that the protagonist is older than Tommy Vercetti but then, later on, admits that he made a mistake and that the protagonist is actually 2 years younger than Tommy. (This is the most interesting detail as it can actually be an honest mistake on their part or it could be a clever and subtle way to fake their credibility by acting as if it was an honest mistake.)
- The North Point Mall looks really good now and it's way bigger.
- There's a scarface style montage that holds a lot of meme potential. (This was an answer to someone asking the leaker if there are any memeable moments)
- Main forms of transport stated to be cars, motorcycles, boats, helicopters, and seabirds.
- Controls are just a refined version of what you've seen in previous titles. Gunplay is essentially a modified version of RDR2 mechanics. No parkour-style traversal mechanics in the game.
- Full body nudity in strip clubs and even during some cutscenes. Also, if you build up a good enough affinity with certain women, you can "make love".
- Fidelity and Performance mode similar to something like Miles Morales.
- You can work out but transformation won't be as dramatic as GTA SA. You have to also make sure that you're eating or you won't grow. Some more side activities mentioned by the leaker are gambling, dancing, and roller derby which they also previously mentioned in the last AMA.
- NPCs are like RDR2 but in a GTA setting. The police don't just shoot you to death for small crimes anymore. If you get the option to bribe the officers for petty crimes.
- Using fists have better development than the previous GTA. You can grab people and punch them in a clinch. There are unique animations for stealthy kills.
- One example of better car detailing that the leaker gives is of Ferrari Enzo (not called that) and it looks as if it could be in a GT7.
- The leaker states that there are a lot of 80s references in GTA Online recently. Also, the song choice for casino update was 80s related.
- When someone asked if there is a protagonist replacement point like in RDR2, the leaker declined to say as it might spoil some of the story. The prologue and 1st chapter are set in the 1970s all the way till 1987.
Again I can't stress enough to take all of this with a huge grain of salt as a lot of details could easily be educated guesses, there is no way to even know if both the AMAs were done by the same person and the credibility itself but had to compile it for my Reddit peeps.
I also wanted to clarify a few things from my last post as well:
- I did mention that the first 2 chapters are set in the late 1970s, to be more specific the prologue and 1st chapter are set in that time period, and it goes from the late 1970s till 1987.
- The Ricardo codename mentioned for the protagonist in the last game was indeed based on the Ricardo Milos meme. (The leaker stated that the protagonist has "sun-kissed" tan so maybe that's why the codename.)
- RDR1 is technically being "remastered" as the map was already made in the newer engine so it's not a remake. The leaker also did state in the last AMA that it looks like a next-gen game.
- A lot of people mentioned that Ken Rosenberg and Tommy Vercetti cannot exist in the HD universe as R* has stated that the HD universe is different than the previous games. While I don't deny that but at the end of the day, it's R*'s intellectual property so it wouldn't be surprising if they did it. The other possibility could be an alternate version of the same characters that exist in the HD universe.

those who want a “small but detailed map” are the same ones who were just at the airport in Gta 4 online, wasting the rest of the map
Gta 4 map was everything Gta v is “lacking” it had an alive city, lots of enterable buildings and it was inmersive, but even with all that %90 of the lobbies were just players killing each other at the airport
Im speaking exclusively about the online mode, GTA V map might not be ultra detailed or feel alive and immersive, but is big fun and entertaining and there is always something to do anywhere in the map.
Regardless of the number of players in the lobby, rockstar knew how to make players spread out all over the map, u see players at sandy shores, the docks, the airport, downtown , at the casino etc etc.
Just the possibility to use jets, helicopters and airplanes alone makes me lean towards a big but not detailed map rather than the small but detailed one, just look at how Cyberpunk is lacking this features.
Honestly i love the gta map and I don’t agree with those who want an ultra realistic and immersive map, if you want that just go outside there and do whatever, GTA is a videoGAME, not real life.
At the end of the day it doesnt fucking matter how u and me feel, Rockstar will follow the same Gta v path on Gta Vi.
GTA 5 its the most successful and profitable entertainment product to ever exist. And before that Gta San Andreas had massive success too, guess what? Both have big but not detailed alive and inmersive maps
Just accept the facts, if you dont like the current state of Gta V you will be really disappointed when gta vi releases and youll see it is not different than Gta v

There's nothing like GTA: Online, for better and for worse
The promise of Grand Theft Auto: Online is an intoxicating one. GTAV’s world remains one of, if not the most remarkable in gaming history, and the idea that you and a group of friends can team up and wreak havoc upon that world seems too good to be true.
To some extent, it is too good to be true. GTAO suffers from a myriad of technical issues and limitations, including ridiculous loading times, crashes, game-breaking glitches, and terrible anti-cheat. It’s like a complicated, unwieldy machine with hundreds of unseen components. If it fails, your only two options are to start from scratch, or give up.
But when it all comes together, when you finally find your friends after five minutes of loading screens and ten minutes of yelling at each other on Discord to “go here”, the experience is unparalleled. The first few hours we spent roaming the world were violent co-op magic, like a depraved, extravagant Scorcese montage with a body count that would turn eyes at the ICJ. We did missions, did drugs, blew things up, got haircuts, bought clothes, bought cars, stole cars, shot police, shot pedestrians, and of course, shot each other. Being homebound due to Covid, our at-first daily, then weekly GTA sessions kept us connected, the first time a game had done so since our short-lived Minecraft phase in March of last year.
But yesterday, as we failed the same section of the Diamond Casino Heist for about the twentieth time, one of my friends broke the silence. “Is anyone having fun?”
Several months ago, I posted a rant on this subreddit about the singleplayer, bemoaning its weak story, poor gunplay, unnoticeable progression, and surprisingly empty open-world. I stand by what I wrote, perhaps even more so now that I see how much more compelling GTAV could have been if it had included online’s heists, vehicles, and properties as DLC.
That said, online is not without fault. While there’s a massive catalogue of things to buy, the grinding necessary to purchase these things is awful, making even Cookie Clicker feel productive. GamesRadar says the Heists, which themselves require expensive properties and a substantial initial investment to initiate, net you about 400k an hour, which isn’t all that much considering how much vehicles and properties cost.
We realized early on that the disparity between GTAO’s prices and its payouts was a manufactured pain point, the remedy being the game’s overpriced Shark Cards. Rather than dig out our wallets, we abided by GTA’s longstanding moral tradition and hacked ourselves enough money to buy every car, every property, and every weapon in the game. But even without the grind to worry about, GTAO had no qualms with wasting our time. The loading screens are the most obvious example of this, but these are, I believe, unavoidable given the scope of what you’re loading into. Where it’s less forgivable is in the tedious minutiae and the absence of systems that should be present.
The more we played, the more frustrated I became. Why can I only fast travel to my properties as a CEO? Why can’t I claim all destroyed vehicles at once? Why can’t I skip these stupidly long cutscenes? Why do I have to wait to spawn in a vehicle? In a way, it makes the same mistake as its singleplayer counterpart. Though it has incredible setpieces that you won’t find in any other game, the vast majority of your time is spent preparing for them.
I don’t believe games should have infinite longevity, so I don’t fault GTAO for losing its sheen after eighty-some hours. Overall, I had a good time. Tearing through hordes of cops in a pink Insurgent. The terrific Pacific Standard Heist. Getting picked up by my friend in a disgusting anime car that he claimed wasn’t his. Being repeatedly stalked and kidnapped over the course of several weeks by a hacker named “JOE BIDEN” who’d drive me around the map at light speed and drop boats on my head as I’d try to flee. And above all, having the opportunity to hang out with my friends during a pandemic. These are all experiences I’ll remember.
The hours I spent in loading screens, driving from one side of the map to the other for the hundredth time, and listening to Lester talk about skinny dipping? I’ll remember those too, though nowhere near as fondly.

Unpopular opinion: Online should be advanced to 1911-1914
| Okay, we are done with clickbait title and can start to talk now. Soo, why would I think that online needs to be advanced? Short answer Mexico, Buildings, Economy, and longer answer well, its more complicated. First of all I think it would be really wise for Rockstar and TakeTwo to release Red Dead Redemption 1 Remake on RDR2 engine, most of the work with New Austin and Blackwater area are already done, its all just needs a bit refreshing( Well, in terms of tumbleweed more like a burial ), It could be done as standalone or as big DLC to RDR2 ( Specially since a lot of people asking for a remake, also PC never got first game ). This way we would get a RDR Online that's " up to date " with a Remake and will utilize complete RDR world map. Also as a bonus RDR map of 1911-1914 map has more buildings and most importantly ranches. Lets be honest, they would never add new ranches to 1898 map, just for them " magically " go out of existence in 1899 map and 1907 epilogue. ( Even GTA did not do that and advanced their timeline up to date with all new content updates ). How they gonna encourage people to buy gold bars if they have a stockpile now? ( Yes, all these nerfs to income for cash and gold are directly were aimed at new players ) And for old players, how we gonna be asked spend them? What they gonna add? A pair of jeans for 5000 dollars? An horse for 300 gold? Or its going to be like in GTA Online, where car performs same way as old car for 20-50k but now costs 1-2 million. They need bigger window for implementation of content, " cage " of being set 1 year before singleplayer is choking potential to add anything major, since it will be illogical to exist a year before and then vanish without a trace. Game needs money sinks before economy will get completely destroyed. Like I already said, even epilogue adds new buildings in free roam, which means more variety to be utilized for content, also after main events so places are now vacant or unused, they can also be utilized. Second, why not use ideas of GTA Online that work? ( For incoming jokes of Mk2 Oppressors, yeah-yeah you are unique and completely fresh ). As we all know, R* has started to drop hints of the next DLC, namely a dead body, or bodies on the beach in Vespucci.

Bugs related to the Cayo Perico Heist DLC:
- Not being able to join friends / error message displaying prompt declaring a certain player hasn’t finished the GTA Online tutorial.
- Not being able to deliver various pieces of heist equipment to the Kosatka during missions.
- During the Plasma Cutters mission, taking a picture of the heist prep board in the safe house won’t register and you can’t send it too Pavel to progress the mission.
- During the RO-86 Alkonost Plane delivery mission and the Velum delivery mission, the delivery checkpoint will be stationed at the casino, either the garage, front door, or music locker enterances will be highlighted.
- During the Longfin boat delivery mission the delivery checkpoint will not register the Longfin once it has reached it destination.
- When poisoning the water tower on Cayo Perico, players have reported either themselves or other players dying randomly.
- When hacking into El Rubio’s compound, players have reported being stuck on a static as the game loads the cameras in the compound.
- When quitting GTA Online after doing a Cayo Perico Heist mission prep, the game won’t save your last prep, requiring you to do it again.
- The Cayo Perico primary target value will sometimes not display correctly and there as issue the incorrect amount of money for stealing the primary target on hard mode.
- In the Cayo Perico heist finale, selecting the drainage point as your entrance into the compound won’t register correctly on your map, with the highlighted icon being the main entrance rather than the back.
- All of the Pariah’s spoilers won’t display visually for any player.
- When using the track pad to open the interaction menu on the PS5, the game soft locks you out of using your interaction menu again.
- When escaping the compound, sometimes the boats at both the main dock and north dock won’t spawn.
- Killing the juggernuat may cause the alarms to go off in the compound, even if done stealthy.
- Both the Tom Conners missions and the English Dave missions sometimes bug up and don't allow you to deliver an objective to the yellow circle.
- When entering the compound, plyers are reporting disconnects, either the host of the heist leaves the game or another team member will leave randomly.
- When leaving the compound, the game will not give you a way to escape, leaving you softlocked in the compound.
- In the heist finale screen, platers report not being able to buy a heist support crew.
- When completing the Cayo Peico heist, players report that they discount from the game as soon as the heist is finished, leaving them without their payment.
- Some players report that the payouts are incorrect when being divided out to players, as an example, a 30/70 payout will change to a 15/85 payout when the heist ends.
- Some players report losing their payout as soon a they reset the game.
- Prep missions for the Cayo Perico heist will not start randomly.
- During the Alkonost setup mission the laptop needed to progress the prep mission will not spawn.
- During the Alkonost setup mission the plane will start smoking instantly when leaving the hanger, causing the plane to prematurely blow up before the mission ends.
- When scoping out Cayo Perico for the second time, (steal the plane from the drug dealers,) the yellow dot mission marker will not display, not allowing the player to fly to Cayo Perico.
- During the scope-out mission for Cayo Perico, players report the supply truck not spawning in.
- When collecting the Chakra Stones for English Dave, collecting all he stones will not prompt the next mission objective.
- When trying to obtain the safe codes from the head of security the casino penthouse, players report the main target not spawning, effectivly softlocking the player in the penthouse.
- "Invisible guards" patrol the compound after you rob it, resulting in your player character getting caught.
- Guards will sometimes not show up on the radar when on the Cayo Perico heist finale.
- Players report different weapon loadouts, entry points, and exit points on the final heist rather than what they choose on the finale screen.
- Players report that when entering the drainage pipe and surfacing into the compound, the game breaks stealth and puts you into combat.
- The Madrazo files will sometimes get replaced with an entirely different target all together on a first run of the Cayo Perico heist.
- Delivering anything to the Music Locker will sometimes not work.
Bugs related to the Casino Heist DLC and GTA Online Broadly:
- Cannot deliver heist prep equipment: The vehicle will enter the yellow circle and nothing will happen.
- Cannot deliver product from businesses: The drop/delivery won't register, or you enter the delivery circle and it won't register.
- Cannot deliver Business Battle goods: Will not register when entering the yellow circle.
- Falling through the map.
- Getting stuck in the man trap or spawning under the map during the Casino Heist, or being disconnected.
- Oppressor MKI, or any car floating in the air.
- Flying over the water and respawning on the beach.
- Changing lobbies but being put back into the same one.
- Not receiving Elite bonuses after completing the Casino Heist.
- Starting a Casino Heist and having no objective point on the map, causing players to have to leave the lobby.
- Having to setup the Arcade again after previously doing the setup mission.
- Vehicles/aircraft not spawning after being requested either from the mechanic, Ms. Baker, or through the interaction menu.
- Nightclub technicians will stop producing certain products.
- Certain vehicles losing their resistance to rockets/explosives. MOC, Avenger, etc...
- Infinite loading screens
- White screening during the Casino Heist end screens.
- Heist cuts not being properly distributed after completing Heists.
- Casino Heist being stuck once you leave the arcade: Can't move, etc...
- Rewards in Arena Wars, or other jobs, not being properly calculated for the person in first place.
- Trade prices not unlocking after completing the Casino Heist.
- When searching for a casino heist through quick job in your cellphone, there's a chance it bugs out and upon joining the room, you're unable to see the finale board where you'd normally see the percentages and ready status.
- On silent and sneaky, there's a chance the guards that are supposed to be moving around and patrolling stand completely still. This is both helpful and annoying in different parts of the heist and if you haven't got duggan shipments completed, you're pretty much fucked or forced to get creative.
- On Big Con, sometimes the exit disguises don't spawn even though the run was done completely undetected (I've experienced this with gruppe sechs entry).
- When collecting daily vault, sometimes it might happen that you get stuck in the animation without being able to stop.
- The stockade sometimes spawns in the wrong arcade.
- Getting stuck in an endless dancing loop during the Casino Heist setup for the level 2 keycards.
- Incorrect getaway vehicles will spawn for the Casino Heist.
- In Sumo(Remix) the wrong team will be awarded the win.
- Mechanic will sometimes not spawn and the player will not be able to modify their vehicles.
- MC business raids not sending message to players.
- Dying during the explosives prep mission for the Casino heist can lead to a long, or infinite respawn.
- During the Prison Break Heist Rashkovsky will not move, be invisible, or die after parachuting from the plane at the end of the Heist.

Patch Notes for Cayo Perico Heist Update 1.52
[December 15, 2020] – New Content in Grand Theft Auto Online - The Cayo Perico Heist has been added to GTA Online. In this update, players are contacted by Miguel Madrazo who will task them with infiltrating one of the most secure private islands in the entire world, evading or neutralizing the heavily armed security forces stationed there, and escaping with valuable evidence along with as much art, gold and drug money as they can carry. Players must scope, prep, and execute the Heist either solo or with up to three other players and will have the opportunity to access several new weapons and vehicles along the way.
- The Cayo Perico Island has been added to GTA Online. The Island consists of several different key locations that players can explore while scoping for the Heist, including a beach party where new DJ collective Keinemusik performs an exclusive set. Upon completing the Heist as leader, players can return to the Cayo Perico beach party at their convenience and invite others along for the journey.
- The Kosatka has been added to GTA Online. The Kosatka is a new driveable Submarine property that acts as a base of operations for planning The Cayo Perico Heist. The Kosatka can be customized with Guided Missiles, a Sonar Station, and a Weapon Workshop. The Kosatka also comes with a Moon Pool where players can store the new Sparrow, Kraken Avisa and Pegassi Toreador vehicles.
- The Music Locker has been added to GTA Online. The Music Locker is a new Nightclub located underground below The Diamond Casino & Resort, which acts as a social hub and is where players can first meet Miguel Madrazo to learn about The Cayo Perico Heist. The Music Locker is also the venue that showcases new DJs added with this update.
- One new DJ has been added to GTA Online. Players can see this new DJ perform at The Music Locker:
- A new feature to toggle strobe lights in The Music Locker has been added. In the Style section of the Interaction Menu, the strobe light toggle can be found, listed as “Music Locker Strobes” and can be toggled on or off.
- New DJ Request Missions have been added to GTA Online for owners of the Casino Penthouse who have completed The Cayo Perico Heist. Players will earn special rewards for completing these requests.
- Two new Radio Stations have been added:
- K.U.L.T 99.1 FM
- Still Slipping Los Santos
- Two existing Radio Stations have been updated with all-new mixes and tracks:
- New Hidden Cache collectibles have been added to GTA Online. Players can find up to 10 Hidden Caches on the ocean floor around San Andreas each day. Players who own the Kosatka Sonar Station can blip the Caches on their radar. Players are rewarded with GTA$ and RP for finding these Hidden Caches.
- Nine new vehicles have been added to GTA Online:
